Instructorship can be gained without completing the practical ridden levels if you do not intend to teach riding skills. However you will need to complete the theory that is in the ridden levels as it gives a greater understanding to the ground skills.
Log Book – 100 hours
As part of the practical study you will be asked to complete a log book. The 100 hours is made up by commenting on books you have read, DVDs you have watched, relevant trainers you have been taught by or observed, as well as time you have spent assisting/observing an Instructor. You will also log your own training sessions.
Coaching Certificate
You will need a UKCC Stage 1 or City & Guilds ‘Preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector’ certificate.
If you have another type of coaching or counselling qualification then please discuss this with me.
A.E.B. is recognised by SEIB.
Please do get in touch with me if you have any questions regarding the above Instructorship process.
